Actually, Metroid has a two volume manga that is canon.

Samus' tech is so far beyond what Master Chief has you could stick basically anyone in that suit and they'd probably beat Master Chief.

They're both great fighters and all, but I doubt any of Halo's weapons would serve as much more than a minor annoyance for Samus. Her suit can take getting stomped on by a colossal robot 100 or so times her size multiple times, and her energy based weaponry (particularly Plasma Beam) would absolutely tear through someone whose armor takes significant damage from a stream of bullets.

And she takes down ridley in 3 seconds.

In that one game that 90 percent of the Metroid fanbase would like to forget about, she can recharge her suit. And I'm trying to remember if there is a hidden move to do so in Super Metroid, but I can't recall. I'd go look it up on GameFAQs, but it's almost  bedtime.

In MP2, there is an enemy called the Rezbit that can fire projectiles that cause Samus' suit to shut down and force the player to manually reboot it, which takes a few seconds and leaves her vulnerable. Don't know how relevant that is to any of MC's weapons, but I just thought I'd mention.

Samus could call in some buddies from the Galactic Federation Army, and she has her gunship at her disposal. But I'm pretty sure the OP meant for us all to assume it's a one-on-one fight with no outside help.

You would think the Chozo DNA would actually make her lighter. The Chozo are based on birds. Birds have a hollow bone structure to make them lighter for flying.

I think we're all pretty much in agreement that Samus sweeps. Not to hijack the thread, but I think a better matchup would be Major Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell series) vs. MC.

The Major wins hands down.
