Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Face-Off: Bayonetta on Wii U

Why would they devote more resources to a game that is essentially being distributed for free to the Nintendo fanbase? Especially when they are not releasing a standalone SKU, and this port was put in into the pipeline to give wii u fans interested in bayonetta 2 a chance to play the original. Of course logic and reasoning doesn't come in play when you downplay Nintendo

So it being free is why an 8th gen console cant maintain 60fps in a 5 year old 720p game, with no AA, DoF or texture filtering. Gotcha.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Because this isn't 2004 and generations are no longer defined by graphics benchmarks.

Yeah, its called business and being smart with your money and expenditure.  Again, logic and reasoning doesn't come into play when you downplay nintendo

Yeah, its called weak hardware. It only took 4A 6 months (4 on the XBox One) to get get Metro 2033 AND Last Light Redux to be a solid 60fps at 1080p and 900p with significant graphical improvements. Platinum had one SKU, one 5 year old game and zero graphical imrovements. How much "effort" needs to be poured into the Wii U for it to get respectable results? Again, logic and reasoning doesn't come into play when you bury your head in the sand and defend nintendo.

This has turned into such a troll thread it's deliciously hilarious.

My god, you just don't get it! Who the hell would spend additional money to improve the graphics of a game that is essentially being given out free? Given how better Bayonetta 2 looks over its original says that the Wii U can push a little harder. Therefore, it is logical to assume given more resources and more directed effort the original could be improved upon. However, it would make no business sense to direct that money into something that is essentially being distributed free. If you can't understand this, then you are clearly blinded by bias, which comes at no surprise judging from your posting history.

Lol, gotta love Subiya.

Bayonetta is a straight port, included for free. Tomb Raider DE is a game being sold at full retail. I should hope more effort was put into "improving" TR.

"Despite Wii U version not having any noticaible graphical advancements (bar shadows) it still drops frames on a 5 year old game in 720p!  Hence my original post "is this suppossed to be impressive?"."

My original point was dropping framerates DESPITE no enhancements is dissapointing. Is that wrong? Is that biased? Get over yourself.
