So some of the captain and warchief battles are difficult if you run into orcs that can block dodges and frontal attacks and whatnot, but overall I think the missions and other side items are pretty easy. However, I have played basically every Assassin's Creed, Dynasty Warriors, and Arkham game...If you haven't played those series this game will be much more difficult. I know people who are having a ton of trouble with it who haven't played any AC games. If you get killed by the same person too many times, they get bodyguards, super buff, stronger attributes and insanely hard to kill. Those situations are when the Nemesis system really shine. Also, as you progress there are so many unlock moves that it is somewhat daunting to remember all of the button combinations. This game is impossible to play drunk HAHA. The craziest part of this game is how ridiculously addicting it is. You will sit down to play it and all the sudden 5 hours have passed. I have only played like 4 times and I have 17 hours on the game. It is easily a GOTY contender and I am MUCH happier with it than Destiny.

Bought the PS4 version, loving the game so far. The combat is a mix of Arkham City and Assassin's Creed games, and the Uruks seem to come out endlessly in certain areas. I can sit there and just fight for hours, the combos are awesome and the enemies can get quite difficult once you run into warchiefs and captains.
I have put in about 9 hours and have only done one mission. I have been stalking captains and free roaming for the most part. Will start the Slaver mission in a bit, it's about time for me to start progressing the story.
Well, was going to get this game as Lotr mid - hardcore fan but know.... I need to find time quickly to get and play this gem

their online bit is avenging deaths of your psn friends, that is all i've seen so far, gets a bit of power i suppose
i've only done a few missions too,fun combat, funny when you suddenly have so many orcs and a few captains butting in,you just have to get out of there
I smell like the dark forest of Dwemereth in the morning mist fanboy til i'm bankrupt
Despite being a fan of LotR, I don't particularly care about this game. Its slightly too derivative for me to play it before the things it was derived from...
i saw this one coming, while everyone was getting hyped for Destiny i was hyped for Shadows of Mordor, since to me it seemed way more interesting that Destiny, plus i always had the feeling that Destiny wasnt going to deliver on everything that the developers were promising, and i was right on both of my assumptions.
Also i am playing Shadow of Mordor (of course) and its really really good, if there is anyone out there who is on the fence of buying it or not, then i will say this: you wont regret it so get the game!.
Just picked it up on PS4!
Cannot wait to get home and play it, I hope it doesn't disappoint!
