I think you need to lie down and finish sleeping off that hangover.

No argument here.  :(

I don't know, I mean here in Argentina nobody knows about TitanFall while almost everyone knows about destiny. It even appeared on  TV! (that's not something you see everyday, in fact the previous game to appear on tv news was GTA 5)

And I agree completely with the bolded.

Is Xbone launched in Argentina? I guess not.

Titanfall marketing/hype was focused in Xbone version alone... MS made sure to not talk about PC/360 version.

Thinking a little more about now... makes sense that people outside 13 launch counties thinks Destiny had more hype than Titanfall... Titanfall was not marketed in counties that Xbone was not available.

No, Xbone is not released here because.. reasons. But yeah, I tought the TitanFall campaing was for all its version, not only xbone. No wonder the game is uknown here. However, does the fact Destiny was advertised in a lot more countries than TF makes it a little more hyped than TF?

3DS FC :  4339 - 3326 - 7693. Add me :) Nickname Tin

Anyone who says this isn't impressive is lying to themselves. It is really impressive, regardless of install base since a high install base doesn't necessarily mean high sales.

The review embargo really helped Destiny. Titanfall was seen as short on content and not that great so the hype was quelled by the time it hit the market. Destiny had a embargo and many underwhelmed buyers.

My opinion but I don't think review could change anything in sales at all... people already made his choice even before the game launch and reviews won't change that.

Maybe it could even sell better if reviews was out early... I don't know.

Stubburn people. I wanna see reviews before jumping on new IP's..........I just don't care about reviews on long running franchises that I feel obligated to buy reguardless.

I won't deny it. I'm a pro Xbox guy. Still, to a degree I was hoping that Destiny would blow away PS4 owners (just like how I'm hoping Sunset Overdrive will wow Xbox One owners). That way, I could say "SEE!? See what you've been missing out on!? Now do you see why Xbox owners love Halo?" But damn. Destiny hasn't been a critical success that I could use. Not only that, it's a sales success that PS4 owners (of which I am one of) can use to make Xbox One owners look bad!!

Damn you, Destiny.

well i for one am loving Destiny and find it to be a great and fun game! but i always thought halo looked great and wanted to play it but i cant justify spending hunders of dollars on a console just to play one franchise.

To be fair I don't think Insomniac was ever representative of PS 1st and 2nd party games, especially not to the same degree as Bungie is for Xbox 1st and 2nd party games. I would not be surprised at all if SO turns out to be underwhelming to XB1 gamers, as Insomniac has never been great.

Speaking just for myself, I say the battle is over. PlayStation won. There's nothing that Microsoft has done or will do to complete favorably with Sony at this point. The writing was on the wall since before the gen began. It's going to be PS2 level domination. So yeah, based on userbase, even mediocre games are going to dominate the Wii U and Xbox One heavy hitters.

So a game made by Activisipn and Bungie is a given to beat a game made by.... Whoever the hell mad TitanFall. That's just how I see it. Sony fans may want to run it in the face of other console fans but it's pointless. You guys won. Enjoy it.

Oh yea, I forgot that Titanfall was made by a bunch of nobodies.  Well, just a ton of former Infinity Ward devs, including the heads of the team.  You know, the guys who just made those VERY niche games, COD 1&2 and COD:MW 1&2.

Lol, so is this really how you're going to play it?  Pretend you don't know who made Titanfall, so you can act like Bungie is SO much bigger and more important than IW, so this isn't a victory?  Even though COD is WAY bigger than Halo?

I was a little tipsy last night.  Calm down there, little buck-a-roo.  I couldnt remember Ready At Dawn's name.  Sorry.

But on that note, ever hear of Mistwalker?  Made of ex Final Fantasy guys.  Didn't achieve Final Fantasy level success.  Same thing from my point of view.

But on that note, ever hear of Mistwalker

What has Ready At Dawn got to do with it? They are the developers of The Order: 1886, not Titanfall

Hypocritical, really, the people talking about userbase. People have made similar arguments about the Wii U vs PS4 or Xbox One, and it's always been brushed aside by either of the two camps.

So..............brushing aside the obvious elephant would be favorable because some people (no clue who and what you're referring to)

have shown a different stance on some other thing?

This logic should be avoided. why bring random gripes from past arguments that are probably unrelated into something?

Personally I think the userbase issue here is too obvious to ignore.

Titanfall was hyped so high, some thought it would be the best-selling game in 2014 at the time of release, which is what I'm taking into account. That's why userbase doesn't really matter. People thought it would "save the Xbox One".

"people thought" is far too much of a vauge and general statment to through the legitimate userbase factor out of this argument.

who ever those "people" were they were wrong and what ever that topic was, it wasn't this.

I don't remember anyone thinking a game releasing on 2 consoles and the pc would be the best selling game, it's a very far out there assumption.

Well GTA pulled that off last year but the two consoles were not two consoles from the same company which makes a huge difference.

I agree, if someone at the beginning of this year would have said that Destiny PS4 first week would beat Titanfall LTD, a game that launched in March, he would have been called crazy. And Titanfall is a next gen exclusive, Destiny isn't.
