agree, i hope they use the extra power to get as much of the framerate as they can, but i think its safe to asume this will be a 1080P/60FPS game.

The 2D animation is probably 25fps though.

is there a reason for it being so low? i mean its not even 30fps. :/

It's normal for animation to be made at 25 images per second, as filmmaking was always in 25 images per second.

It's not about the refresh rate but about how many images they draw, and drawing 2 times more images takes a lot of time (even though they probably work with 2D animation software using skeletons and calculating in-betweens)

Weren't the nekomata 9 pack in disgaea 1 ?

Also yeah the art is great-er in every episode, can't wait for the artbook (i hope it features original character design like 1 and 3 *_*)

I really don't know what you mean by Nekomata 9 pack. Sorry

But in Disgaea 2 there was a stage filled with Nekomatas that would keep leveling up by geo effect until level 9999 if you let them (even faster if you keep fusing them after some time), then you only needed to have a decent party into the start panel and throw a level 9999 Nekomata there to be beaten and become yours, as they had ridiculous low life and equip from originally being low level enemies it was not necessary to have chars so strong to beat them there.
I had a lot of them xD and it was definitely in Disgaea 2.

I already forgot about that trick xD

The nekomata 9 pack was 3x3 pack or nekomatas while swords had a skill with a 3x3 AOE. So it was about one-shooting them, level up, raise their level, and to this again. Also nekomatas have a bad defense, so it was ideal. There was also the same in bonus stages with ennemies that had better defense but bigger xp rate.

Disgaea is a very complex strategy rpg if you wanna fully explore it. You have so fu**** much shit to do there you will probably get lost if's your first time getting into the series xD

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Oh

Just bought D3 and D4 for my Vita to check out this series since it seems to be popular and I like good tactical games.

Maybe buying just one would have been more than enough for a start.

Any suggestions about which one to play first?

Thinking to maybe start with D4 unless they are strongly connected storywise or something

since D4 is the best out of the two, then save it for last, so play D3 and then D4.

Definitely D3.
The older the better to start, as every new entry have new stuff, so it's easier to learn with older games.
D1 and D2 were available to the PSP, check if they are in the Vita store and buy them and start with D1 if you can.

Story is always independant, we can even wait for D5 to come out and start with it and you will not loss anything, but that's only until the main gain is finished, because the post game (actually were things become hard) have lots of old game characters and you will not get the jokes and situations if you don't know them, but also have other NIS games characters, so don't worry, you can start with any of the games and that will be ok.
Disgaea D2 for the PS3 is the only exception, and it's a direct sequel to Disgaea 1 for the PS2.

It's really wowing when you do reach Baal for the first time.
You just beated the main game around level 100, them you beated some really cool and strong foes in the post game and it's probably at level 500, you are feeling strong now, so you end up going against a level 4000 enemy, with super OP stats, then you know you are still to discover how the game really works hahaha.
Go and give it a try, Disgaea games are really good games, filled with strategy and are really really fun, I laugh a lot while playing them xD
And if you by any change love/like anime, you will really enjoy the game art style too.
