Forums - Gaming Discussion - Insomniac Games on Sunset Overdrive: No Plans for PC Right Now, but "we'll see what happens in the future."

So if this game is truly "exclusive exclusive" then why is there a story/question to begin with.....

Sales-wise, I think this is going to bomb on the Xbox1. Has Insomniac ever released a PC game? It's going to have to go to other platform to make money.

PS4 confirmed. "Exclusive exclusive" rebutted.

It will happen soon enough. Game won't sell enough on X1 alone to justify not putting it on PC

I don't see anything

VGC Sales figures for FUSE.

Fuse was a mediocre game, unwanted by PC gamers. It wouldn't have sold on PC either. If Sunset is good PC gamers will want it.

I am letting you know what the picture not showing up for you is about.

this is why i dont even consider buying an X1... the only game that you know will not come to PC its their sacred trinity Halo, GOW and Forza, and Halo interest me but i would never buy a console for just one game, and then the other games that interest me (on the X1) end up going to PC...

whats the point of having exclusives if they end up going to other platforms?

Well, when asked about the Master Chief Collection Microsoft never ruled out a PC version, and Forza 5 was shown at GDC2014 running on a PC using DX12 (video below), and is also missing the ''Only on Xbox'' stamp on the Box Art, just like Dead Rising 3 and Ryse. Also, the first GoW got a port to PC later on. At this point, I wouldn't count out any XB1 exclusive getting a PC port later on.

If MS starts porting over all its exclusives, they may just as well hang out the white flag and kill Xbone in a handful of years.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Way to move those goal posts.

Good, this game has shown nothing to build up my interest but I would be more then willing to give it a shot on the PC. I will wait a year and or more worst case I pick up a XB1 someday and get this game for pennies, as it stands now since they did not kill a PC version of this game I don't see a reason at all for a XB1 purchase! As it was said before PS4/PC combo is the best right now.

i knew about the first GOW on PC but i thought it went exclusive later on Xbox, but if all of this is true and there might just be a PC version of those games later, then... less reasons for me to ever get an X1.

As a point of reference, Capcom and Crytek/MS explicitly said "no" to Dead Rising 3 and Ryse being ported to PC, respectively (http://www.craveonline.com/gaming/articles/556927-gamescom-2013-dead-rising-3-is-never-coming-to-ps4-or-pc and http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/10/30/ryse-son-of-rome-will-not-be-ported-to-pc-down-the-line-will-not-have-a-demo-at-launch/ ).

This time, MS and Insomniac has said that PC versions of Halo: MCC and Sunset Overdrive, respectively, are currently not in their plans. However, neither of them has flat out denied the possibility.
