At this rate, FF16 and 17 will release before it.

Hmm, pie.

Considering this was originally for the PS2, I don't see it happening till at least the next generation.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

Maybe FFXV will come out before 2020 after all!

I hope it at least releases by 2016.

-_-......looks more like early-mid 2015 for japan and late 2015-early 2016 for NA/EU at this rate(if we're lucky) I don't think they'd put a demo out if they weren't hoping to get it out in a timely fashion.

what on earth have they been doing these past 9 years?

So another eight years before it's released.

I was going to comment that :-/

It's likely that Nomura was forced to step down.

It's not 6 years of development but 2 years in reality , so it's really good, we should get the game for 2015 christmas or early in 2016

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Didn't they basically restart it's development in late 2011 when they decided to make the jump from PS3 to PS4/X1? It's not quite as bad as only having 50-60% done after 8 years, but still you'd think there'd be more progress after nearly 3 years of development. It's not as if development resources have been split between KH3 and FFXV, they've been in development at 2 different Square Enix locations by 2 different teams, the only staff that worked on both was Tetsuya Nomura, and that is no longer the case since he's working exclusively on KH3 now. Looks like Holiday 2015 is only a dream, 2016 seems more likely : (

I don't know, he basically said that 55% includes alot of the groundwork which is more demanding and fiddly then just assets and content alone.  Also he said, that the figure is derived from what they've achieved since he started working on it 2 years ago. Kinda a confusing progress report but I'm just gonna hold onto the logic that if a demo is coming in march, the game will arrive within 12months of that.

I'm pretty sure the 50-60% figure is just about the campaign, given the engine is up and running.
