People made fun of him for being over dramatic and having arguably the biggest meltdown this site has ever seen, saying Platinum betrayed their fans and the hopes of the game flopping and blah blah blah.

People didn't make fun of him because he said the game was gonna flop, everyone with common sense already knew that.

You act like fanboys have common sense =P

That's what all the Nintendo games sell that people brag on legs.

I thought legs was usually >10k, not <5k.

Damn!

I wonder if reality has set in for some people here. Because apparently Bayo 2 and Hyrule Warriors are supposed to move a ton of Wii U's in these next 2 months.

I wonder how Nintendo and Devil's Third developers are feeling right now. Hope this doesn't discourage them to make the game they wanted.

Nintendo cornered themselves as being the Mario company, they're not known as anything else now that they've been stripped of the Wii/Touch Generations fads.

For a game like Bayonetta 2 to have success, Nintendo would have to invest a lot in that demographic, which they don't do, so it flopping is predictable. The only game that could've built an audience for that game would've been Ninja Gaiden 3, which was mediocre and also flopped itself.

Xenoblade, Devil's Third, Fatal Frame, etc. will also likewise flop. I mean heck, even Donkey Kong Country is a bit of a flop on Wii U.

I think what they should've done instead of bundled Bayonetta 1 with Bayo 2 is just given Bayonetta 1 away for free on the eShop a few months ago to build a potential audience for Bayo 2.

Pretty much. Publishing the occasional violent game isn't going to cut it. They need those AAA multiplats and they need to do advertising deals with the publishers. Nintendo doesn't seem to like doing that unless the content is exclusive though which is impossible with the cost of AAA games these days.

Yeah anyone who thought Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors were going to do well, not only in software but in a hardware bump too, were delusional. Wii U is basically dead until Smash U.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Wii U is dead period. Smash will provide a 2-3 month boost same as Mario Kart and then they will fall back down to Earth.

After that, they're toast barring Splatoon being a miracle new franchise system seller or something.

Their best bet now is to focus their main energy into making the Fusion as much of a success as possible, this generation can't end fast enough for Nintendo.

*smh* Oh well

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
