I politely ask the mods to ban ryuzaki57 for a whole year....he is going to be a pain.

So pretty much all of Nintendo's 2nd party games bombed in Japan on wiiU. Wonderful 101, Hyrule Warriors and now bayonneta 2. Ouch..

It does make you wonder, though.  Will this reflect poorly on Nintendo to potential 3rd parties to the extent that they might completely avoid the Wii U for the remainder of its life?

Well, we're already kinda seeing this. The only 3rd party support left for wiiU is shovelware (just dance), indies and 2nd party titles or exlusives that Nintendo is paying for (Sonic boom, Monster hunter). However, for the most part, 3rd parties are dead on wiiU other then a few exceptions here and there.

I mean, I'm aware that 3rd parties right now are already avoiding the Wii U but that's my point.  Is this what seals the deal for good?

Looks like Operation Platinum got its work cut out for itself.

Why are people spelling doom on a game that's only has a few days worth of sales while being in 5th place based on those few days? Seriously. You folks need to calm down. This isn't a full week worth of sales for Bayonetta 2. We have to look at the numbers next week to draw any concrete conclusions.

Literally everytime a game comes out and underperforms at least one person comes and makes this senseless excuse and it's literally proven wrong everytime.

Games usually sell 80% (or something along those lines) of stock in it's first day.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Maybe releasing in the same week of Smash Bros wasn't a good idea, but anyway you see it, it bombed. Unfortunately

Yep, most likely. Pretty much every single 3rd party partnerships for wiiU bombed hard (W101, Bayonetta 2, Sonic LW). So unless Nintendo loves to just burn money, I'd guess that bayonetta 2 is probably going to be the last big 3rd party exclusive. I mean, we might see a few minor 3rd party exclusives like devil's third but my guess is that these are going to be extremely rare.
I'd say, if Sonic boom bombs on wiiU, then Sega is also going to leave and then the 3rd party lineup is truely going to be barren. And, as for multiplats, well, they are already dead unfortunetely. Watch dogs is probably going to be it's last major 3rd party multiplat in it's lifetime.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M
