also its important to note that the us has killed more innocent people since the start of the conflict with drone strikes than ISIS ever will

and the most important point of all is that the us is the cause of the conflicts to begin with

Speaking of Islam, outlawing the consumption of pork was a very intelligent idea. Just think back to the preparation of pork during that time. It was horribly disease ridden. There was a much higher risk of tapeworm and trichinosis. Although in the context of the modern world it may seem to people that such a law is illogical, it actually makes a lot of sense.

Nothing is black and white. People often get on a single side of these issues and lose sight of the big picture.

The US is not 100% bad or 100% perfect.

Not all Muslims are bad, but a significant enough portion are that it's a serious concern. Sadly, the ones most in danger are fellow Muslims.

Women are treated like complete dirt, and the level of violence and repression in many Muslim dominated territories is mind boggling. Honor killings are an abomination against all humanity. Your 11 year old daughter got raped by your 52 year old brother? Okay, let's get the village together and beat her to death slowly with rocks!

All religion is prone to horrible things, but I'd say that Islam is responsible for more suffering today than all others combined, and 99% of the suffering is inflicted on each other.

Terrorism is basically a non-thread logically speaking, to Western nations. Deaths from obesity, car accidents, medical malpractice, etc, absolutely DWARF even the worst case terrorist attacks.

It's the best case for Western nations to basically ignore and not interfere or trade with Islamic peoples. Leave them to their own devices until they reach higher in the evolution of their religion. They're basically still in the middle ages in many of those places. Remember how Christians used to burn people at stakes, put Jews on the rack, etc? Same deal, they just haven't moved on from that yet in all locations. Give it time.

As it happens, the Koran itself is a pretty peaceful book, it's the various Imams that have often gone into extreme hate/murder mode over the years. When they stop preaching hatred, the lives of the Muslim peoples will vastly improve.
