Let's be serious : The Real Winner is = PS4.

How could Samsung support their console if they launched one? It just seems unclear right now.

But i guess people didn't expect Sony to launch a console that would become the most successful two generations in a row. Sony didn't really make games before the Playstation. As far as i know Sony didn't make much for their MSX computers

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

And you think 15m sold HDDs are a lot for samsung?
They sell those on the side while providing businesses and end consumers with hundreds of millions of them.

Real winners are the third-party publishers, thus far.

agreed, whats happening intel?

I think they're too busy rolling in mountains of money to care about the console market at this point. AMD on the other hand as so desperate for cash I'm surprised they haven't taken to masquerating as girl guides selling cookies, make bank on those things.

It's not because they are succesfull in smartphones and tv that they will succeed in video games market

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

If Samsung were to enter the console biz, they would probably need to buy a publisher like ZeniMax and start up some studios. Samsung could also try to buy the Xbox brand, but I doubt they have the money for that.

Sony was in the right place, at the right time. The SNES was waning, and Sega had begun it's suicide run with the 32X. Nintendo going with carts added fuel to the fire.

Samsung also produces the PS4's the 8GB GDDR5 RAM, the Wii U's 2GB GDDR3 RAM and the Wii U's 8GB or 32GB NAND flash memory chip.

Well I actually think Samsung could buy just the XBox brand. If you check their net worth.

Oh nevermind I'm trippin
