Think of Ready 2 Rumble Boxing compared to EA Sports Fight Night series, it was somewhat realistic but more of a lighthearted approach, I think Nintendo should go more that route.


That would be cool, but we've got to remember that Midway were the king of that sort of game and look what happened to them.

I don't like sports games... even mario ones. But if they out sourced the development and were able to ensure quality they're sure to earn any costs back.

Hell no, Nintendo should "pull a Sega." When EA decided to cancel all their sports games on the Dreamcast, Sega decided to make their own sports games, and they were really good. 2K is actually the studio Sega formed to make them. Of course they later on sold 2K, but their legacy is there.

I don't see why not, but it's not like they'd be pulling in the Madden/FIFA/2K fans. Less conventional interpretations of sports, like Inazuma Eleven, would probably be a good bet for them alongside some Mario games.

They could contact major sport stars if they wanted to. I am 110% if they contract Cristano Ronaldo to some deal for a Soccer game, they will sell MILLIONS, just on his name alone.... and the game can be completely average.

Sadly many Nintendo fans want Mario in everything and games like this would probably not sell.
