 It is not how smart you are as more of how well you recieve knowlege and process it. You could be smarter than people who had a 200 IQ because they were to lazy to want to learn even though they have a greater capacity of recieving knowlege. 

There's a difference between real IQ test and an internet one.

I was given multiple IQ tests at school, and I qualify for the OLYMPIQ high IQ society. I was given five separate tests, and my average score was 187. I didn't join that society though. I met some of the members, and there didn't seem to be any reason to join other than to tell people how high your IQ is.

I think I'm at least smart enough to realize that the thread (threat?) creator is banned again.

Apart from that I never cared about my IQ.

People who play video games must be REALLY smart. A quick glance at the post and most people quoted numbers from online IQ tests around 135-140. That would suggest that pretty much everyone here is in the top 2% of the population....An IQ over 145 would put you in the top 0.2% of the population.

I've no doubt there are some very bright people on here but i suspect these sites have an easy 'free' first test to encourage people to join or pay for something more.

I've only taken one, which told me my IQ is 124. Of course, part of the IQ test included VERY obscure history questions, which doesn't measure intelligence at all...

Also, its interesting how when you look on forums and other internet discussions that the average IQ seems to magically go up to about 135 (from the normal average which is something like 90-110), since most people are either insecure about their intelligence, or just pull a number out of their ass.

 More specifically it is a fairly accurate predictor of academic success. It is only good for telling you how well you are likely to do in school and nothing else. While to a certain extent this does tie directly into your ability to learn it is not directly the same. It is more about how quickly you learn and mostly it is only valid for a school setting. Once you leave the ivory tower of academia it is entirely useless.

After taking several IQ tests my IQ averages around 140, the lowest score I have ever gotten on an IQ test is 133.
