The gamer community? No, the dwindling Destiny community. That community will get more raids.

The gamer community is moving on.

Proof?

Because what I see is the gaming commity continues to play Destiny.

The gaming community is bigger than Destiny.

Seriously, this is childish. Lets move on from this discussion like gamers moving on from Destiny.

Avg. after 30 days.

With 30 days you need 15 million day one to have less than 1 million at Day 30.

Nope.

You can get an average of 3 million with a highly packed two weeks of daily >6 million, and two weeks of daily <1 million.

(6*14+1*14)/28 = 3.5

That's an average of 3.5 million "each and everyday"! To quote Bungie.

Of couse is childish... all your points was childish since begining... you says because you don't like the game others didn't like and are moving on while in the reallity the community is growing.

That why I asked if you are being serious.

And to say Raid is the same thing just prove you didn't played it... there is nothing in any other fps released like Raid.

Your only mistake is there is no way Destiny had a 6 million unique players in the first week because it sold ~4 milion... so the first week I can say the avg. players per day was below 3 million... and I don't believe it even reached 6 million unique players in one day... there is no sales enough for that.

If the biggest additions are going to be raids and expensive DLC, I anticipate the population will dwindle.

Yeah, I'm lying... raids are the most innovative creation in gaming history. Alright, I'm gonna just back away slowly now...

Nah, its not a mistake because it wasn't meant to be a 1:1 example. I am just showing you that you can make averages say anything. If you want I can use more nominal numbers but my point was to just show that averages are meaningless in this scenario.

Let's take the openning day sales of Destiny as ~5 million (numbers on this site for openning week):

(5*14+1*14)/28 = 3.0

Not hard to get this number to 3.2 by skewing one more day over. This is why averages are dumb.  There could literally be 0 players today and the average would still be in the millions.

What I mean is that any other FPS even did what Bungie did with Raid... how can you say it is more of the same? When it is unique in the fps world?

To be fair if they says 3.8 million next month... what you will say about the average growing from 3.2m to 3.8m? That means that the population growed, no?

There about 15 guys (16 with me) playing Destiny right now on my friend list... it was way more because most of my frirends are EU users that already go bed

Oh, if they said it next month using ONLY next months numbers? That would be an incredible number and boon, because that can be reasonably assumed to lack any statistical skew. That would be an utterly impressive number.

But, today and now, we know the first month is unnaturally skewed by launch, same way a console is unusually skewed by launch.

Anecdotal evidence is pointless.

That's the thing, what is considered unique content is sometimes subjective.

New raids is going to appeal to avid players, just like population boosts in CoD or Halo when new DLC is released. It just won't help the population grow.

Expecting the population to grow from what we see now is unrealistic. Especially given sales legs are kinda modest.
