Good

I hate this! They want more independence powers but won't take full independence as long as they can milk the English taxpayer.

"Mr Salmond's deputy, Nicola Sturgeon, said in an earlier concession statement that there was a "real sense of disappointment that we have fallen narrowly short of securing a 'Yes' vote"

Lol, 10 % difference is not narrowly short.

Well they obviously didn't.  Salmond confused a wish for more control with a wish for autonomy. He got it badly wrong.

I wouldn't say 45ish% voting yes is getting it badly wrong. That's a huge minority wanting a complete split from England. I would not be surprised if a majority want a significantly greater level of autonomy than they're going to get without wanting a total split.

I wonder how this will affect other regions that want independence, like Catalonia. They were heavily rooting for Scottish independence since they knew it could really boost their chances as well.

Also, expect another referendum in another 15 to 20 years.

Ok. Now I want my vote

Well 45% did want to be independent, so well you know it's not like it was a blow out win or something for those who wanted to stay in the UK.

Well this was no major surprise. It's the best decision for everyone though IMO, hope they.get more powers now though

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Whilst I'm glad they're staying, at the same time I'm a tad disappointed that I'm not moving to Edinburgh.
