If you're going to use Craigslist then make sure you meet in a public place. Just a general rule of thumb to avoid this sort of thing.

That is a terrible incident. I have to ask (as much of a rude question as it will be) Why would you ever agree to meet someone, in a parking lot, at 9:30pm, over craiglist, with an expensive piece of hardware?

Again, my respects to him and his family but it boggles my mind that he was so trusting. I hope those two morons get the full extent of the law dropped on them.

i feel so sorry for that guy, and this isnt the first time this happens im sure there was a similar crime commited on last december for a PS4 as well, people are just crazy...

Wow that's scary. I've done 3 transactions through OLX myself. Haven't had any local reports of crimes occuring when people meet via OLX but there have been a couple of reports about assaults after Facebook strangers met each other in person.

Know who exactly you're dealing with, meetup at a public place and just to be safe, go with a friend and inform a couple of others where you'll be going.

Yeah it sucks that his death is an example of unsafe craiglist sale. People really need to think carefully in selling things on craiglists or etc because there are some really abnormal people in this world like the murderers in this news.
