I've always liked Nintendo but the PS smoked the 64. I was exclusive to PC that gen but if I had bought a console it would've been a PS.

Rare to see someone say they don't like dualshock 4, unless you're very much used to the xbox style of analog sticks, the dualshock 4 is pretty much the perfect controller, imo.
What exclusive game interests you? Do you like your Japanese fix like bloodborne? Get PS4.
Do you like more hardcore games? Halo, Gears? None do it better than xbox.
Is mario your life? Get a wii u and be the life of the party.

If you can you should try and get some play time in with all 3, play as many demos ect on the system as you can, and research the exclusives (past and present) then go with your gut.

You took the words out of my mouth. This advice is what I've learned to give to people shopping for phones, and it applies to a lot of consumer elcetronics, actually.

Really I would go the Nintendo Wii U + Playstation 4 route. You already stated you are a Nintendo Fanboy, 2015 WILL be a HUGE year for the Console, hell THIS YEAR is not so bad either (Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 1-2, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong: Tropic Freeze). They will release Zelda, Star Fox, another Mario game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Captain Toad, Mario Maker, Dragon Quest x (maybe), Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Party 10, and not to mention more content for Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros Via DLC, all in 2k15.

Get a PS4 for your CoD, Street Fighters, Resident Evil's, Tales, and GTA's...

Don't like the PS4? Fair enough.

Don't trust Microsoft? They are contractually bound to deliver services promised at point of sale, and their sales are already substantial enough and regular enough to ensure ongoing third party support. Get an Xbox One.

my next door neighbour had one so I thought best of both worlds ill get a ps1, although his ma said she may as well adopt me with all the time I spent at the house. But who could blame me Mario kart 64, goldeneye and perfect dark to name a few

have a 360 ya that's grand for the next year but then the end of the year support will stop for the 360

I love all of the above, used of the xbox controllers, remember the og xbox controller I liked that so my opinion means nothing on controllers
