Forums - Gaming Discussion - FINAL FANTASY XIII - PC Requirements Revealed + First PC Screenshots

Ok. Now I'm really worried. Low specs and 720p screens?

Hmm thats interesting... I guess its just a direct port without any real improvements apart from that low ass launch price... oh well, I m really more excited about ffxv possibly launching on pc than this tbh

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Doesn't really scream it is going to be a big graphical improvement.
Oh well, preordered nonetheless. And additionally, it opens up the possibility for a FFXV PC release.

I don't think this game will benefit much from it.
nor is there a whole lot of potential gameplay-wise for modding it.

XIII-2 and LR though. Particularly LR have a lot more ability to be made better.
Since the framerate was poor in both.

There's a lot more to work with. I'm excited for LR. Since it was by far my favorite of the 3, with the most unused potential as well. With the most technical issues.

my guess also, is they're gauging how it does for FFXV PC release. I'm pretty sure the other ports have done will. 1-4, 7,8.

I'm surprised by the price.

Even if its not much of an improvement, its cool to see they did the port.

The requirements sound like a game from 2010...

Maybe a crap port where you need mods to unlock the framerate and rendering resolution...

The ground textures look even bad for a PS3 game.

Doesn't sound like a good port :/

It runs on my toaster. A bad PC port would be namco bandai level.

People dont forget that the community will make the game better if the devs wont. And also we have those nice little tools that allow us to add bloom/outlines/movie filters/AA etc etc.

GTA4 and Skyrim are show what those tools can do and Dark Souls shows that 720p game can still run at 8k etc.

Oh Square-Enix, you'll never learn will you!

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.
