Forums - Sony Discussion - Now's the time to buy a PS4... in Canada!

I didn't even think about it LOL. And it hasn't sunk in yet that I'm going to have a PS4 in the near future... Unless it was a mistake and they cancel it :(

I don't think it's a mistake. Amazon do some (short) deals with PS4 bundles in Europe too.

And for this TLOU bundle, it's one of the rare (I think the only one WW) PS4 bundle with only a digital code, so not really more expensive for Sony than the standalone PS4.

EDIT: Just seen the first price was $310, that was a real bargain (and real mistake), no surprise they are (again) out of stock at that price!

Out of interest, to compare prices, does Canadian prices include tax? Or is it like the US?

Hmm, pie.

No, they don't include taxes in the price listing.

Cool, right so £215 with tax... current UK price is £330 or so with a game. Nice price.

The PS4 Last of Us bundle is selling on Amazon for $339, way cheaper than the regular $449. It's temporarily out of stock but you can still order it and get it when they get some in.

Edit: looks like it might've been a mistake and it's now up to $399. Still not a bad deal if you missed it.

Every major retailler having a $399 CND sale this week.... Future shop, Best-buy, Wal-mart and Target.

For does of that don't know The PS4 release with a MSRP of $399.99 in Canada but due to decline value of Canadian dollar this MSRP was change to $449.99.

I bet PS4 made History by being the first console to increase in price after launch. (Canada Anyways)

Price of game were also hiked for Canadian gamers... $59.99 MSRP is now $64.99 & $69.99 MSRP.

I wonder how much that affected PS4 sales in Canada. Suddenly, the price difference wasn't that big between xone and PS4, and after the price drop, xone was actually cheaper.

I really don't like the price of console games. When I can get discounted games on or close to release date on PC for maybe $40-$45, it makes it really hard to justify paying $70 for the same game on console.

Not much PS4 is so popular in Canada that they can get away with raising the price of console. PS4 is too popular right now for it's own good, they don't really have to do anything in order to sell console. Heck they've done so good with any software to support it. It goes against the gaming trend software sells consoles, I think last generation of console was too long and gamers were very eager to switch to current generation and PS4 is the most future proof console.

OP updated with another deal!
