I think he confused the XB1 and PS4 with the Wii U ( in be for someone takes this comment seriously)

This reads like something the Unabomber would have written.

there are only 7 stories and every movie i see is a retread of something i've already seen.

those demanding games to completely reinvent the medium with every game can go fuck themselves.  i play games because i enjoy playing games.  i've played hundreds of platformers and shooters and i'll play hundreds more.  i was always going to buy a new console because i was always going to keep gaming.   the graphical improvement is huge and real no matter how much some asshole wants to downplay it.  the new features of the console like background automatic downloads, game suspetion, and shareplay just make the machines even more desirable.

I agree with somethings there, nice text.

Hell, almost half of the seven basic stories are simply extensions of the same core concept.

Forbes seems to be on a CONSOLE HATING binge lately.. lol

While I agree that there isnt much of a difference to be seen on cross platform games, EVENTUALLY we need new hardware. If you buy in now you get (no matter how small) better versions of cross plats and access to future games. I dont think either one is worth buying at the moment but 2015 has quite a few current gen only games coming.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I have to agree with this article. I don't yet own a Xbox One or PS4. But I'm still playing my 360 every day, enjoying the games, and caring little for graphical improvements. The games coming out now on the current gen systems do little to convince me to buy the consoles.
