Yea, that sounds like a better solution to me.

What sort of rights are you expected to give up? I just don't quite understand as the situation seems very complicated. Something clearly went wrong though. Best of luck in trying to sort it out though

Pretty sure he said. They are in no way his kids. He is not the father of either. He was at one point the step father of 1 the other he was seperated before the child was born. His 3 kids are with the person he is currently with. So these other 2 kids have no relation to his children. 

 

Ot. Let them go. No use causing your family possible pain down the road from the mother or the childrens father or fathers. Just move on and let them live a happy life.

I would have thought that if it was fostering and not straight-up adoption, that you can negotiate an agreement where the kids can still know about you. 

 

I would think it was easier to do that with fostering than adoption, where it's common to have no-contact adoptions. Fostering is more open-ended, no?

 

PS I think it's great that you want to still be involved in these kids lives, to make sure they get the best, despite not being biologically linked to either of them.

Good for them, so there was confusion if they were half siblings but they have a biological relationship through the mother reading your words?
