Yes, i'm sure this vaguely worded statement will have people shaking in their boots :p

As people have repeatedly pointed out, including Phil Spencer amusingly enough, DX12 won't result in a massive change for the X1. 

There will be some improvements, as is standard with API upgrades across all platforms, but as long as the X1 doesn't magically grow some better hardware, the "other side" (really lol?) will be happy enough knowing that all the X1 can do is attempt to close the gap for brief periods of time through optimization.

The X1 is a perfectly capable machine, but unfortunately MS didn't bundle it with a wizard. They decided the Kinect was a more affordable option.

I doubt anyone thinks it won't help somewhat.  In a perfect world, Microsoft would have waited for DX12, as DX11 is a poor fit for a multi-core console.  On the other hand, we already know that a lot of what DX12 brings is already on the XO by this point.  The benefits DX12 brings for the Xbox One are going to be moderate, especially compared to PC.  There is really no need to either hype or downplay.

If the division looks anything like the shot shown above it'l be the 1st next gen to deliver that level of realism. Looking at the eventual failures of Watch Dogs et all, i'd be very very surprised if it manages it. Of course, i hope theydo...
