think they will both struggle to reach a 1m mark. Bloodborne might be higher if the reviews follow the DS scores, while The Order will struggle, as it already has tons of negative press that I don't expect to change. It will meta in the yellow, have very shaky legs, and fade very quickly.

The same for selling systems, and the only thing that might push the numbers higher is bundling either of them for free.

lol no, Bloodborne will reach 2 million if not 3 million if the game is not bad. The Order will do a million very easily! How much more it can do is dependant on how it reviews, as we´re not sure it´s a good game so far.

Yeah, I wouldn't underestimate Bloodborne. Even many PC people are jumping on board, as they know the only place to get it is PS4. Will do 1 million with ease.

To me, The Order is the tricky one.

I hate to be that guy, but I think the order should get delayed till june or august. The game looks good, they have also nailed the setting and atmosphere. But its a game and seems to be lacking where it matters most. They need to go back in and make the combat more varied, deeper and complex.

Ehh, 2-3 million would put it well past even the sales of the original Demon's Souls. That's close to 2x what Demon's Souls sold if we're going for 3 million, and close to 3x what Dark Souls I/II sold on the Playstation brand (and it will be a hell of an accomplishment for Bloodsouls to be better than Demon or Dark Souls, particularly the masterful latter). I don't know why you'd expect such a thing on a considerably smaller install base, one that was fractured by the Dark Souls I/II multiplatform release, and for a series that has been dipping in total sales overall.

I am sure Miyazaki's name being attahced to this will bring it a lot more hype and hope for being better than Dark Souls II (particularly for the more dedicated fans of the series, like myself, who were disappointed with Dark Souls II). But I don't expect it to suddenly have these huge sales numbers out of nowhere. I'd expect numbers akin to Demon's Souls, 1.5-2 million tops.

Order has way too much bad press surrounding it to get to a million "easily". People will be warry.

You forget the fact Souls fanbase increase by a huge amount thanks to multiplatform games. And the fact PS4 is much more popular than PS3.  And the fact Bloodborne has a very good marketing, while Demon's Souls has only word of mouth.

There is no reason to think Bloodborne will only do as much as Demon's Souls, it will more than likely outsell Demon's Souls by one million

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

Yes, I remember it being February since the pre-TGS announcement.
But I was thinking you could have being delayed to the West for some reason, but thankfully not.

Just wondering why people use Month/Day/Year, as I always was, that makes no sense to me and end up confusing me xD

It's an american thing, just like fahrenheit and pounds, thought the british use pounds too!

And miles, gallons and feets too! xD
I know it's a USA thing but as well, but why? Just because it's cultural knowledge? It's too confusing xD

It stems from the way dates are written longhand as in, September 17, 2014, short form just followed suit.  As far as the metric system is concerned, the US is just taking the most gradual process possible towards adopting it by selling hard alcohol by the milliliter and hoping people will start to pick it up.  Of course those people all wind up drunk, hardly conducive to proper study so we're kind of stuck at the moment.

I always thought they had strange  measurements like a fifth of scotch .

I doubt that the majority of the multiplatform fanbase on other platforms, are going to run out and pick up a PS4 just for this, especially not the PC crowd. It'll simply be a lost fanbase.

And you have to remember that the Souls series is niche, and even if you add up everyone for the DS1 and DS2, you're still struggling to reach 3 million, and shrunk in size with DkS2. Not sure where these millions of players are going to come from.

If this is indeed a worldwide release date then The Order 1886 will need to be moved lol.

Lol. As much awesomeness as these games are the souls/blood games are still pretty niche. The order is meant to appeal to a different gamer segment so they won't really directly compete. If the order isn't much good it will fail on its own. If it's good it will succeed regardless of any other games releasing at the same time.
