Forums - Sony Discussion - My credit card info was stolen/money withdrawn from acc.....

Hey guys just letting you know this.

Recently had multiple $200 withdrawals from my account. I got a text from Bank of America saying their was unusual activity and sure enough checked my account after.

So this means somehow somebody got my card information. The only thing I can think of is through my Ps4 and Psn. I recently bought Destiny for $60 (a few days ago) so the purchase was still fresh.

Not guarenteeing any hacking going on here, but with Sony's previous history you guys should keep a watchful eye over your bank accounts!!!

This happened to me a few years back. Bank had no idea but some on in Texas stole $2000 from my account. You should be reimbursed and the bank conducts an investigation. Took mine three business days to talk care of me, hope you have your money back shortly as well.

I should not PSN had nothing to do with my issue. Just that it does happen.

You probably just whispered your information to someone while you were drunk.

Sorry that happened to you. That's very unfortunate. However, I have to inform you that Sony really doesn't have a track record for people stealing funds out of stolen cc. The network was just exposed to those possible happenings. Nothing was said of anyone getting their info stolen.

Anyway, like Augen said...you might want to take that up with your bank. Now Bank Of America definitely has a track record for stuff like this. I was once a victim myself.

I usually use gift cards to make my purchases so that I don't have to worry about anyone taking my card info.

Use PayPal online anywhere if you want to be "safe"

Psn was the only place you use your card in the last month? You know it just takes 10 seconds to take a pic of your card on a gas station, clothes store, etc etc etc...

Easy solution for that. Never shop for clothes and steal gas from other cars.
