Wii... WiiU... 3ds... 2ds... New 3ds... Who the fuck comes up with these shitty names? And whats even worse is someone is getting paid to come up with those names... Like wtf

It's ok, I think it's mostly for the Japanese market and to add a fresh coat of paint for the West, but I doubt there will be many N3DS only titles. I think Xenoblade is more of a test title. For Nintendo probably the most important thing about n3DS is the addition of NFC capability out of the box so that kids can use amiibo toys with it right away.

Call it 3DSi if "New 3DS" really bothers you that much.

Just like what the hell did the "i" in DSi and DSi XL stand for? It's just aping Apple's product naming conventions.

As soon as I saw the "NEW 3DS" name, I felt it was WAY to similiar to the Wii/ Wii U identity crisis.

They should just put numbers at the end of their consoles, like the Nintendo 3DS 2. (Hey, it seems to be working for the iPhone, iPad, Galaxy, Galaxy Note, and the Playstation).

only reason why i dont think names are important, is because i base the logic on how apple gets away with "New Ipad" and "New Ipod" . sure they have model numbers, but they simply advertise it as New ipad, every year

Average Joe's seemed to be able to figure it all out beforehand, overall I don't see it any better or worse than before. Though I do agree that the naming conventions are getting out of hand.
