Neh i was gonna complain about having planned out that you are gonna try again but already thinking about when she leaves and go on dating sites... >_>

I hope she says yes to a date 3 days before she leaves... That would mess your mind up..

Talent: poetry (I selected the poem very carefully to run for low time, be witty without being stupid, and play on my talent for public speaking)

Date: A trendy art museum (Google "Andy Warhol Museum Pittsburgh"), followed by dinner at a fairly upscale restaurant (the one i have the giftcard for, but nobody needs to know that upfront).

its ok-ish... If you knew the menu from cafe located in the Museum you could say something like: "We'll get the best Waffles at the Andy Warhol Museum Cafe and if you like it we could visit the museum.." Some girls would be impressed by waffles..

I'm here! I sensed something about waffles!

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It was a busy month. Didn't have time to pursue anything.

Messaged a girl on facebook yesterday, a friend of a friend who caught my eye a few weeks ago (but again, was too busy to do anything about it at the time, so held off contacting her until last night). Got ignored, i think.

Perhaps i should try once more. I actually seem to have a lot in common with this one.

Do i dare to ask what you wrote to her? I mean.. Have you talked to her in real life? Its kinda creepy if a facebook friend of a friend suddenly made contact..

And yes same old same old: time, oppertunity, nobody is waiting, etc

Nothing much. Just explaining the three week gap between our initial interaction (me being swamped with school and having no time to deal with anything social) and that i wanted to get a chance to meet her.

I was thinking about getting in touch with her immediately, but then, if she had wanted to meet up, i would have had to say "well, i'm free in a month" which would've been bad. Now i'm closer to being free.

Honestly if what i said had any flaw, is that it was too dry and not juicy enough.

And yeah, i hadn't met her irl. But i tend not to meet girls who share my interests irl. This one seems to.

I think i'll send something again. See, looking at my facebook account, it's much harder to tell what i'm into (videogames, cartoons, fantasy, anime, etc), because i have places like VGC to talk about that stuff, and i know most of my irl friends don't care nearly as much as i do. This girl seems much more open about it.  So i didn't communicate why i should be interesting to her (because i wanted to avoid coming on too strong). But i forgot that it's not immediately apparent as to why i'd be interested in her, specifically.

Alright.. I suck at text messaging/internet dating.. 90% of the time my words aren't coming out as they should be.. I became aware if it when a girl straight asked me what i wanted from her cause my textmessages ended somtimes with a big X, small x or sometime xje (which is a small kiss).. Just look at how flipflopping trashleg and me communicate in this thread.. *lures her with waffles..

Anyway just be aware that there is a thin line between being interested into someone and being a creepy internet freak.. Don't push it.. No one like that red number on our facebook app on our iphone hitting double digits with messages from 1 person..

I'm quite aware on both of those points. Internet communication is hard for several reasons (lack of immediate reply, difficulty of conveying yourself properly, ease of misinterpretation), but sometimes that person you only know through facebook is a legitimately good prospect.

I'll give it one more try with a message that's a little more descriptive of why she should care. If not, i'll respectfully back off.

Just ask her for coffee (and waffles!)

Do you really think: "hey trasleg, i'm nikkom, we chatted before, i'm this graphic designer on the brink of breaking through with a t-shirt label, with a friend of mine in the netherlands and i also teach part time.. I like to game but never have the time cause there is like always a CSI episode on tv which i rather watch"..

Is better than: "Hey trasleg, you, me, waffles & coffee, bruxlles, next thursday, 12:00"

I mean.. Its like impossible to write down why you are so awesome she should meet you.. It always turns into something cringe worthy
