I have to agree it's getting a touch ridiculous at this point, but the difference was mere moments in this case. If they (two girls talking about course selection) had wrapped up just a minute sooner, I would have had it, because i saw her floating around for a moment, but then... gone.

I'm going to see what i can pull tomorrow, as i'm getting pretty impatient myself. If i can catch her on her way out of her economics midterm, maybe i can ask to meet in the mid afternoon (she comes back by 3:00 for a math class, and i'm free from 2-3)

This is why knowing her schedule is important, not to stalk.

Have you thought about asking her for her number? Or am I being too early-2000s?

Noticed a girl sitting out in the hall in a kind of common area when i was making a delivery. Agonized for some time and non-significant amount of anxiety, went back out, said "hey!"

...it wasn't her. Just a girl who looks a lot like her.

Do wonder if my face is noticeably red right now. It feels that way.

Whatever it is, next time i see her and the context is remotely appropriate, i'm asking her out again. Halloween's coming up and there are several social functions through the school to look into.
