If you have an XBO, why would you stream it to your pc? Serious question, why not just play it normally?

i go to my mother-in-laws house.  she's not a gamer.   wouldn't it be great to have a way to keep playing?

i'd still buy a ps4/xbone for my home because i want to have access to all the fancy features like friends lists, cross game chat, trophies, ect.    ...but on the road having a way to play that isn't too much of a pain in the ass would be extrodinarily valuable to me.   this is way i keep on bringing up (begging) that sony adds cross-buy between psn and psnow.

also, i'm at a friends house with a ps4 but i don't want to wait for a 50 Gb download to show off destiny.  stream that bitch and BAM!

just lol at comparing this to streaming to a Vita system :] The day you can easily bring your windows PC to the bathroom with you will be the day this is in any way similar... and even then... not really.

Yes seriously lol.... just lol... Comparing streaming to streaming lol... lol
Streaming is not only about playing in the bathroom you know. When I go somewhere I can use any PC to stream my games from home, not what can be done with theVita to a lesser extend... lol?

I'm a bit confused by this. So basically this is local remote play? [not that I've got remote play to work more than 30 feet from my PS4...]

So I have my Xbox One by the TV and decide to go and play in my room on my desktop? So I guess you have the advantage of a proper controller and a bigger screen, but it's more difficult to play on your lap while watching "real television" (especially as you're meant to be doing that through the Xbox one aren't you?)

I think it would be a much bigger deal if it could stream to tablets too. Maybe it will work with the Surface 3, since that is basically a laptop, but it would be better if it could stream to all

Anyway, I think it's a decent idea, but a good way to keep up with Sony. Personally, starting up a PC doesn't quite have the convenience of a Vita, especially as I like to use it to play in front of the TV while I'm watching something like cricket. I also have a gaming PC, so if I'm sitting in front of my PC playing an Xbox One game, maybe I'd be better off playing it directly on my PC?

I guess they're showing they're leaving the console market.

Bye bye XBox.

You have to own a Xbox to do this from the looks of it.  Im curious if either one of you all said something similar when it came to PlayStation Now?

i think people did. but either way, i think both MS and Sony dont want the Xbox and Playstation to be there forever, but want PlayStation + and XBox live to be there forever. meaning in the long run, they want to get rid of the hardware and sell the games.

This is a nice feature actually. Just think about it. Taking your Laptop anywhere you want and being able to play all your x1 games. this is like a portable x1. awesome!

And since it is not limited to any device, you could probably even play your x1 games on any smartphone where and whenever you want.

the next step is easy to forecast --> streaming cloud games directly to your x1. (this will definitely come this generation)

Why stream ps4 games to Vita when you have a ps4?

Because vita is more portable than a homeconsole or a pc

I was specifically talking about the people i quoted.  But if PS and XB becomes services in the future for all devices I dont think id have a problem with that personally.  Having XB and PS games on one system certainly wouldnt be a bad thing in my opinion.  But they need consoles to stay mainstream as well in my opinion.  Its hard to market to the mainstream without a physical product

I though people don't want console like game on a Handheld

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Interesting. If the framerate is indeed increased and all you need to have is a 360 or an Xbox One and a gold subscription, it would be a better proposition than PS Now (even though they aren't 2 of the same).
