Enough to say 'many' as OP claims?  And did those people really use words like 'crush'?  Because there is a big difference between saying you think Wii U will outsell X1 and saying you think it will crush it.  Even if they are both clearly wrong.

I remember one particular poll back in august and Wii U won with around 160 votes vs something along the lines of 120 for Xbox One. I'm crap at this stuff so I can't find the thread but will be nice if someone could?

But yeah, there were tons of people being vocal about it August, saying 3rd parties won't save the X1 and now they're being quite as a mouse -_-

Wait, the XBO is doing three times as much as the Wii U? No it's not... It did it when it launched in a bunch of (albeit small) territories + japan (a big territory).

The Destiny and China boosts are reasonable. But sorry, outselling Wii U 300k-400k a week is extremely unrealistic.

I think you are forgetting super smash wii u ..the impact this game is gonna have on wii u sales plus the super mario 3d bundle and mario kart bundle which both will sell very well during the holidays on Black Friday and beyond

You forgot the biggest advantage the Wii U has.

A title so powerful, nothing else can compare.

An incredible advantage beyond all reckoning.

The deciding factor in the 8th gen race.

Wii U sold well beginning of summer, Bone sold well end of summer. Both when the other had little to compete with.

Using the sales of the summer as the only deciding factor of sales for both is odd.

I still think it can outsell it, though I don't think it is certain.

Nobody said the Wii U will "crush it" though, you're making people up to make your argument look better. Classic Toaster Strudel.

Alright I will come out of the woodwork, I personally believe the Wii U has a chance to outsell the XBO this holiday season if Nintendo markets the Wii U properly this holiday season. If they advertise all of their major games coming to the system like they did for MK8 and make Wii U console ads showing off the many great games already out on the system then I think the Wii U has a chance to outsell the XBO this holiday season.



"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.
