I have been told by many people that the Wii U is going to crush the Xbox One in 2014.

However now that the Xbox One is released in a lot more countries it sells roughly three times as much as the Wii U.

 

Some things to keep in mind for Wii U:

Its biggest IP just came out (mario kart)

The baseline is back to 40k

Captin toad

Hyrule warfiors

Bayonetta

Smash bros

Other indies

 

Some things to keep in mind for Xbox One:

Still has to release in ten more countries including china (200k first week)

Minecraft

Destiny

Fifa 15

Project spark

Forza horizons

White console

Sunset over drive

Call of duty

Halo: The masterchief collection

Assassins creed

Gta5

Other multiplats and indies

Will the Xbox One trend continue or will Wii U pick up steam this year??

I have to be realistic here. Xbox is gonna win in that area. No matter how good Nintendo games are. They only have so many. Xbox has everything else.

It will probably sell more than Wii U, I think Nintendo can't afford to ship everywhere.

Enough to say 'many' as OP claims?  And did those people really use words like 'crush'?  Because there is a big difference between saying you think Wii U will outsell X1 and saying you think it will crush it.  Even if they are both clearly wrong.

Who are they really? Everyone keeps saying these people exist, but outside of the Zero + all his alts I can't name a single one. Maybe PigPen? It's a short list if so.

Now on the matter of whether or not X1 will be ahead of WiiU by end of 2014 -- that's different story. X1 has to outsell Wii U by at least 100k a week every week from September through end of the year to beat it. Even with Destiny/CoD/China boosts, that's not going to happen.



I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Its easily possible considering the Xbox One will outsell the Wii U 300k-400k every week black friday to christmas. Xbox One will also outsell the Wii U at least 150k-200k destiny week and china week too
