Why should I call out people? To argue with them about their lousy behaviour? Really? Then I would discuss with a lot of people here because they
a) bubble over fanboyism
b) only come out to drive-by-trollin
c) don't know how to argue
d) can't behave
e) call out users for no particular reason than making fun of them in a disrespectful manner
and so on. I have better things to do with my time.

Pretty much. The only people who seem to bring it up are "Sony fans" in my experience.
But...this thread is starting to go down a slippery road, so let's stay on topic or it'll be locked and people will be moderated.
Xbox doesn't need to outsell the ps4 to be a success.
And also, why worry about this?
Just think about games.
So now people are claiming that being gen leader isn't important. How times have changed. People certainly cared about comparing 360 and PS3 last gen, certainly cared when it was said Xbox had this gen on lockdown before last year's reveal, they still cared at launch when the gap wasn't that big.
But now it is no biggie and only Sony fans care about that kind of crap anyway. I almost want X1 to start catching up to see people 180 again. Almost
So Xbox One gets over 100k, a 55% boost on top of a 58% boost the week before with another boost coming week of 9/13 and people still wanna call doom? My god calm down give credit where its due. Xbox One is doing pretty good, its just selling less than PS4. Whats next is they're gonna have an awesome holiday with a ton of games coming out.
They did add 240% to their European sales, which is good. It will be difficult for xbox to maintain.

When was it when it was not important? Perhaps the time when PS3 didn't lead or what?

Well, I only remember threads that were stating PS3 would overtake 360 soon or even did it and that was over 2 years ago. And now look at the sales...
Not to mention Wii won last gen and in every bigger sales thread an idiot rose saying rrod rate was over 50% and ms counted replaced units many times. Guess from which people these claims were?
Btw, be careful with "all 360 fans talked about" as this generalization is wrong by default.
