Forums - Gaming Discussion - Destiny's first raid tallies 1600+ deaths

Seems like the bad kind of difficulty to me...not really something to brag about

there are many "whole group just dies" situations in the raid if you don't shoot something quickly enough

that sounds dumb

Raids you need actual friends to invite to the game in order to play right? (no matchmaking?)

You can join a clan or make  your invites open to the public .

Oh cool, thanks for the heads up

It's even worse when you realize that in order to platinum the game, you have to complete a raid without anyone in your fireteam dying lol.

I started watching the Raid this morning to see what it's all about, but got bored quickly as all it seemed to be is hordes of enemies getting thrown at them. The team I watched was actually pretty good, but after needing to defend three points until the vault opened, which seemed to go on forever with enemies constantly respawning, I got tired of it.
Surely it's much more fun actually playing it, but with it taking so long, and actually needing to coordinate 6 friends, it seems that I will never even attempt it.

Is that what it is? That sounds painfully boring... Fun with friends sure, but damn. I wouldn't subject my friends to that.

& I thought the Raid trophies were going to be easy.

Ah ok, I guess that  makes sense. Would of been nice to have matchmaking for it though

i doubt randoms in match making would have the collective coordination or teamwork to successfully complete it, it's that hard.
isn't just a case of kill enemies, it's almost CTF'y in certain areas.

The link is taking too long to load.

Well not really. If your raid group is going in there blind, undergeared, leaderless, with no forms of communication, and low leveled, I can totally see this happening.

I wish there was more details towards this raid with I described above. Maybe there is but I'm too impatient to wait for the link to load.
