And ethomaz was right, like always

Ethomaz always claims the numbers are wrong when he doesn't like them. That's like saying toastboy is right whenever the XBO starts selling well.

Meaning toastboy is always wrong!

I kid, I kid!

I guess Etho is just lucky to be on the right side

Lol XB1 adjusted down already. Still seems a little bit to much to me but I'll believe them and say congrats XB1 on a decent 2nd tier launch.

not only to you bro:P 28k boost from 13 european countries,2.15k on average from each country, more than France and the same with Germany...even though it is the opening week, i still doubt it;) for sure, these...huge markets/countries Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland gave this big boost...

Not to mention you could already buy XB1s in those places.

Doesn't mean they were everywhere in stores available at a reasonable price...

You think stores kept X1's for months without trying to sell them? Prices were dropped when they didn't sell, and then they still didn't sell much at all.

Living in Scandinavia I don't find it difficult to believe that the One got a small boost from being released officially here.
- There was no advertising before this release, and very limited press coverage.
-Imports were not compatible with local apps and language. If you have little kids you want the one that is compatible with the only language they speak.

The 360 did well here, especially as the PS3 was out of stock forever. Playstation is certainly the more popular brand now, but an extra few thousand consoles in launch week isn't weird at all.

The funny thing is people were saying these countries wouldn't provide a boost for the Xbox One at all since they were already available in most countries in Europe. Now it's "well that's still bad, only a 30k boost"

30k is practically nothing at all...people were talking about tier 2 turning the battle around for X1 lol. The baseline will barely even be higher, although we won't see the new baseline until next year.

If we see a similar drop in Tier 2 countries to that in Japan, then yeah, the baseline will not get that much of a boost at all.

Xbox has always done terrible in Japan, so a drop that huge (84.8%) is not likely in these new countries. If they did however, that is an extra 4.5k per week in Europe.

I think a increase of 11k to the baseline is more likely. (A drop of 63%)

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

3k isn't the baseline in Japan though. Baseline will be sub-1k. Second week for tier 2 might be 11k but its baseline will likely be less than 5k.

That's waayy too high. The X1 doesn't have many selling points in those countries to justify a purchase, not to mention, it didn't have a good launch in those Tier 2 countries either. Baseline will only be boosted by about 5k.

I should clarify, I was talking about when it launches in all the European countries this month, thought I got rid of the % in that sentence. Isn't the One going to be in 18 different European countries? That's ~600 for each country every week. That is probably going to be close to Japan's baseline, so it seems likely.
