Forums - Sony Discussion - (Rumor) Resident Evil: R2 is Vita bound according to Sony

I'd buy it for Vita.

curious why havent other 3rd party games come to vita like COD, BF, UFC, AC, watch dogs, GTA, tomb raider, MGS GZ ect. certainly has the HW for it, it may not look as good as current gen it also has enough buttons for it unlike the psp. when the vita launched with uncharted golden abyss which looked close to the original DF which looked amazing for its time i really thought we'd see more games released for it

how much effort would it take to port these titles over and if the effort isnt the issue why havent the big 3rd party games landed on the vita yet

I guess they hate Vita for no reason why did they stop suporting psp when both hardware and software sale was good

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Why waste "good exclusives" on Vita? Good multiplat ports can help move hardware too. Unfortunately Sony isn't going to bother trying to acquire some.

Hence, the Vita just needs an influx of noteworthy games. They don't have to be exclusives. Many of the games we see pushing core platforms are not exclusives.

Well, the games that actually moved PS4s were Watch Dogs and Destiny. For X1, Destiny and Titanfall (it was on 360 too).

Please. It will only be playable via remote-play.

That too, Vita is awesome huh! This is good news, but i´ll be getting the PS4 version myself as i enjoy the big screen much more.

I'll assume games like CoD, BF4, Madden, and Fifa is also helping moving some units. We can presume 8th gen consoles would sell less without those games.

Yeah... but look at how the games have solid in Japan. God Eater 2 is the best selling Vita game in Japan and it only sold 430K according to VGChartz.

The install base of the Vita is a decent size, they just don't buy many games. The X1 has more million sellers with a smaller userbase.

It a cross gen 430k is really good numbers and Resident evil is a bigger IP.

I think the opposite Vita owner buy a lot of games even niche games sold better devs expectations

430K is pretty good for that game. But its not good enough to encourage significant support. Most support struggles to get anywhere near 400K.

If an medium popular ip like this sold 430k it mean big ip could easly do more then 1 million

Well in Japan God Eater is considered very popular in Japan, based on typical sales in Japan.

Either way, forget Japan. The Vita needs the west to be success a true success. That's where a majority of Playstation's success is.

But compared to Final Fantasy,Dragon quest,Monster Hunter and even Mgs it's popularity is nothing
