Forums - Sony Discussion - (Rumor) Resident Evil: R2 is Vita bound according to Sony

Making big budget exclusive for Vita is too risky, not even Sony does it.

Ports can help move Vita as well and they're cheaper to make.

Does it really move Vitas tough? And I'm not saying it needs big budget games, only -good- exclusives.

Why waste "good exclusives" on Vita? Good multiplat ports can help move hardware too. Unfortunately Sony isn't going to bother trying to acquire some.

Hence, the Vita just needs an influx of noteworthy games. They don't have to be exclusives. Many of the games we see pushing core platforms are not exclusives.

Please. It will only be playable via remote-play.

It'd be cool, but I really don't see it happening.

As for people saying why not 3DS? Quite simply can't handle it. It's not rocket science. New hardware is being released for Wii ports. Which people are inexplicable excited about (Xenoblade Chronicles) given the constant rhetoric against Vita that people don't want those games and that's why it's bomba.

Why not Wii U? There's actually probably more sales potential on Vita.

It'll be another "sorry, we meant PS4" though as Type 0 HD was.

Cool. I'd rather play this on vita than ps4. Be nice to play something other than rpgs on my vita.

There is 3 millions owner in Japan i think it's enough install base to make the game selling well

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Yeah... but look at how the games have solid in Japan. God Eater 2 is the best selling Vita game in Japan and it only sold 430K according to VGChartz.

The install base of the Vita is a decent size, they just don't buy many games. The X1 has more million sellers with a smaller userbase.

It a cross gen 430k is really good numbers and Resident evil is a bigger IP.

I think the opposite Vita owner buy a lot of games even niche games sold better devs expectations

Everyone supports the Vita more than Sony. I wonder when Nintendo is going to start announcing games for it?
