I wanted to see how the fans themselves on this site who have actually PLAYED THE GAME think of it. So basically I ask you all who have played Destiny to do a mini review of the game giving it a score and stating its pro and cons, giving your overall thoughts on the game.

Score: 7.9/10

Pros:

+FPS controls and gunplay is absolutely amazing. Smooth, responsive and works like a charm.

+Game looks gorgeous, like a work of art. Amazing production values that make you want to keep looking at the scenery.

+Crucible (PvP) is raw fun. A variety of classes and abilities which are all quite different from each other urge you to use them all in competitive multiplayer.

+Excellent co-op experience with friends in both story and multiplayer. This game was meant to be played with friends and not alone.

Cons:

-Abysmal storytelling/Almost no story at all. It's like they didn't even try.

-Story missions, patrol missions and strikes get very repetitive as you're doing the same kind things over and over again and visiting the same places.

-Seriously lacking in content right now. All story missions and strikes can be completed in about 10-12 hours. Only post game content after finishing the story mode is to replay all previous missions on harder difficulties where essentially enemies become better bullet sponges and their damage multiplier on you is increased. Gets stale fast.

-The 4 main game worlds (Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus) feel very empty considering this is a MMO inspired game. There are normally 2-3 other people on the map who are too far away from you and there's very little to bring you together since public events are rare. Not allowing you to play story missions with randoms without them having to join your fire team is ridiculous, making the experience very isolated if you're playing by yourself even though this is a persistent world game.

Final Verdict:

Overall Destiny is a fun experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to have a good time with a friend playing a competitive/co-operative FPS. If you're looking for a MMORPG experience or an engrossing story such as that of Halo then stay well away because Destiny's real problems lie in those aspects. But as I mentioned before, it is a solid first person shooter experience that most fans of the genre will enjoy.
