Too much hype and too many people buying into that hype. Personally, I was never excited for any of those 3 titles mentioned.

I hate it when this happens to games/gamers... Very sad.
Who's getting Smash Bros?!?!?!? This is the game we have all been waiting for!!
;P

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Isn't every year the hype year??? To much expectations on some games that obviously is impossible to uphold.

Destiny is still a fantastic game, you just have to know what you're getting into. Hype or not, it still sold crap tons, much like Watch Dogs (Titanfall, not so much) so those 2 are success stories, even if overhyped.

None of them lived up to their hype. Though Titanfall came the closest.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

People should make up their own mind (and hype) instead of following the trains..

Haven't been disappointed yet, this year. Did not get any of those games.

And honestly it's not like scores take away from it. I enjoyed Drakengard 3, Tales of Xillia 2, Sword art online etc which have lower scores than those. I'm sure i wouldn't enjoy those more (tried the beta of TF and Destiny, dunno about WD).

Hardly anyone on here has played titanfall... I've pumped days into that game and got all of the achievements including dlc.

Destiny is pretty good too but was overhyped. Watch Dogs still lacked polish and was overhyped because of lack of other titles coming out around the time.

I've learnt my lesson, for sure.

Calling it now, 2015 BEST YEAR FOR GAMERZ IN FOREVER!

Yeah, I'm feeling that overhyped games are going to be this gen's standard, even worse than last gen, which sucks because that says that all you have to do to sell a game is put most of a game's budget into marketing and leave nothing for actual development of a good game. That doesn't seem healthy for the quality of the industry as a whole (at least to me).

Yep, there is no doubt about that
