The joke here is that there is no exciting holiday bundle. Pachter is just trying to tank XB1 sales by making sure the holidays come and go and every held off on a purchase!

The entry price certainly did drop.
Before it was $499 to jump into XB1 gaming. Now it is $399 to jump in. Saying they only removed Kinect doesn't change that fact.
Not that it isn't a good thing. I honestly believe dumping the whole notion of forcing a Kinect purchase on XB1 buyers was a great move.

Halo Collection Bundle for $399. Some of these replies are just plain silly.

Yeah that makes sense to me. Maybe even with a 2nd game..
I dont think they can get away with a physical price cut... but stranger things have happened.

Maybe throw Minecraft in too.

Funny enough i was going to add that... :)
...but they want to make $2.5b back, that wouldnt help... but then with all the discount upgrades, perhaps the cost of the current version is not how they are going to make their money back anyway.

So is Shoe @DanShoeHsu from twitter a reliable source? If so, this hint sorts of hurt present Xbox One sales until the holiday promotion if he's telling potential consumers to wait.
I hope Pachter doesn't get a hold of Sony and Nintendo's holiday promotion.
What if... GTA V bundle? Completely impossible? Granted, Rockstar would have to be borderline crazy to go with that given the game's history and how the PS4 dominates the market. But if Microsoft are willing to fork up 2,5 billion for Minecraft maybe they're willing to fork up 500 million for a GTA bundle.
