Yea I personally know a couple people who decided not to buy one after the drm thing was announce BUT EVENTUALLY got one because they dropped the whole drm thing. It was because "they stopped doing the strict stuff. So I can get one now" according to them.

MS presented that drm thing with confidence but dropped it before the console even hit the stores. They also dropped the mandatory Kinect. They will remember but anybody who was interested in getting one outside of the drm sh!t can and will eventually get one.

DId MS never own Bioware? I guess they should've bought before EA then :)

Bioware was independent before, but they made several deals with MS.

That's about as much as a console costs to develop. For a single studio. With a single game. It's just crazy. But hey, gratz to Notch for becoming a friggin' BILLIONAIRE! That's also crazy. Just big players as Apple, Google and Microsoft would do such deals. They have so much money, they don't even care. Oh hey, but let's fire 18.000 people because they're too expensive! They could have paid those people for 10 years with that money!

I don't know it's all really awkward and there's something going on with Xbox that we don't know about at this moment. It just doesn't add up.

The best thing MS can do for Minecraft is to leave it alone and just let mojang due there thing.

Yeah, that sucks, that's why i loved Xbox and why X1 feels so boring compared to what they did in the past. Xbox was just like playstation, a lot of different kind of exclusives.

Reading Notch's reasons I must agree with him: not everybody has as his highest aspiration becoming the CEO of an important company, doing a job that grants a wealthy life while doing what one loves is luckily more desirable for most people.

Now, though, I have another doubt: who'll pay $2.5B for Notch's next SW house when it too will become too big? MS again? I can see a vicious circle starting...

I'm pretty sure Markus would be perfectly happy to go and dissappear forever with his cut of this deal, he has just made his whole family line never have financial worries from now until.... about what? 3000AD+? I'd say this is job well done for him.
