Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why does the Smash 3DS Demo restart my 3DS?

So whenever I close the Demo of Smash my 3DS restarts before returning to the menu.  I've never seen this with any other game or demo, only with System Settings.  Does anyone know the reason for this?  Is this only with the Demo, or is the full version in Japan doing this as well?

it does that to me too

Maybe because it is no ordinary demo? (Doesn't deplete "uses")

Hmm, yea, it does it to mine too... Weird! Maybe its cause it takes up too much system resources but this is just a guess... Cause u cant use the miiverse or the internet browser while you are playing the demo and that will be in the full version as well due to a lack of system resources/hardware so maybe that has something to do with it but again, not sure loll. It looks like they really sacrificed a lot to achieve that 60fps on the 3ds

That's what I thought it was.  In that case, I think it was a good idea, and I'd even like to see other games try this.  Thanks!

Not sure, when I close out of the Smash Demo to start up another program the 3DS doesn't reset.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Same happens to me

Good I'm not the only one, I was getting worried that something was wrong with my 3DS.

Nintendo and PC gamer

It does that to me too, maybe it's because it's too much the 3DS can handle. New 3DS is likely to not have that problem.
