Forums - Gaming Discussion - GTA 5 Next Gen good purchase or waste of cash???

I'm buying it because I didn't own a 7th gen console

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I'm buying it. I knew there was going to be a PS4 version so I split the cost of a digital copy on the PS3 with a friend but I want to own a retail release. I'm not getting it day one though. If I want to play GTA5, I still have the PS3 version. I'll wait until I can find it for atleast $30 before I pick it up. It'll also give them time to announce a DLC pack or two, and if that happens, I'll skip the vanilla version and wait for the Complete Edition.

I have a question.
Is it possible to like GTA V if I didn't like GTA IV?
My Biggest issue with GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption was the shooting.
I do not like the shooting of  at all.
That's why I didn't like GTA 4.
RDR however was amazing overall and I think the shooting was a bit better, so I ended up liking it, despite not liking the shooting part.
Has it evolved somehow? cause I really don't know if I'll like the gameplay of GTA V.

Never bought it the first time so maybe.

Hell no GTAV is worth another purchase.

Your arguments are a bit weird. TLOU and GTAV have the exact same reasons to be remastered. They're the 2 GOTG and they released very close to next gen. Not porting them would be a crime and extremely stupid.

But TLOU was exclusive, while GTAV was multiplat. FYI i agree with you, I'm just pointibg out that that's the difference in OPs arguments.

What does exclusivity to do with anything? TLOU is still exclusive. Xbox fans will still not be able to play it if they didn't buy a PS4. They didn't remaster it so that some people on Xbox side could play it. They remstered it because it was the right thing to do. Like it's the right thing to remaster GTAV because a lot of people didn't play it or specifically waited for a next gen release or just wanted to play it on a good console.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I am Bying it again, I bougth it on digital on PS3, I ll missed alot of its visual because of that.

I ll be waiting for red dead redemption 2 ps4 after that :p

There was never any doubt in my mind that R* would port GTAV to PS4/Xbone. That's the reason why I haven't bought a PS3 version. I'm happy the port is coming :)

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Yes, a next gen version is really necessary. The 360- and PS3-versions had performance issues which kept many potential customers from buying these versions.

For these people, it's not another 60+ dollars.

They sold 33 million. Peope who wanted it bought it. And nothing was wrong with the performance to me expect online issues with gta online that are gone now. So unless you just want to mod the pc one I don't see a reason to buy the other to versions other than just wanting to play the game again on the current systems.

I'm getting it as i held off buying for the PS3. Looking forward to it although the release date is the same as Farcry 4.....going to struggle to find time to play both....and lego batman which comes out around that time too.
