Ehh I doubt it, even Madden sold better on PS4 and that had a bundle and exclusive advertising for XBO. The install base on PS4 is too great to overcome.

In all fairness we have no clue how much better the XB1 version might have sold digitally due to the EA Access subscription. I mean, people were making second accounts just to play the game for another six hours.

Huh? Destiny is published by Activision not EA.

after all the pre release hype for destiny (mainly on ps4) the xb1 version is climbing since july

september npd is 4 more weeks.

so it could overtake the ps4 standalone version until the end of the tracking period.

u really dont see that trend?

No. I see that the x1 outsold the ps4 version for the last few months. 2 months isn't a trend. What's more telling is the 2014 data and that the Ps4 version is outselling the x1 version this month so far. I wouldn't be surprised if the x1 version outsells the ps4 version and maybe because of some of your other reasons but I'm just pointing out that this reason doesn't hold weight. Plus we do not know how many units separate 13th and 14th place in the amazon charts. Could be tens of thousands difference which if you use as sample data could translate to a lot more from all retailers

It's Madden they're talking about

OT: it's got a fair shot, because the bundle will steal a bunch of sales from the standalone game. In total US sakes however, the PS4 version will win by a large amount.

2 month istnt a tred?

what else would be a trend?

3 and 4 months ago there were way less destiny xb1 preoders and interest

since july, for 2 month in a row, it outsold its ps4 pendant.

right now its in front on hourly chart since 4 days

the yearly chart gap is closing form 4 places between them to zero right now

thats the perfect definition of a trend

This is one of the rare prediction made about Xbox one winning something against PS4 that actually make sense and with valid argument.
We will see OP. And in case OP is wrong when results come in, no need to bring back this thread.

Doubt it, because the bundle itself doesn't count on top of PS4 sales, but the gap was like 700k before Destiny. So it might be close. Then we can call into question does exclusive marketing work.

Yeah this was my point also. PS4 bundles will outsell XBO bundles, but we can ignore those as they are not the current userbase. So if we look at the current userbase the PS4 is 700k ahead, so now it just depends on how many buy who currently have a console and not the bundles.

This is why I think PS4 will edge it by about 100k.

doesnt the fact theres a bundle hurt the ps4 single copy? if theres no white bundle, they would get the black ps4 and a single copy of destiny ps4, raising the ps4 single copy by hundreds and hundreds of thousands and putting it(ps4 destiny single) higher up on the yearly charts comfortably

Might be, but we should probably wait until next week.

OP is making his prediction partly by looking on current Amazon rankings, but keep in mind that today is last day of "buy XBox One and get any game (including Destiny) for free".

In other words, if the XBox One version of Destiny is still ranking above the PS4 standalone version by Tuesday, then the prediction looks good, but if the PS4 standalone is back on top by then, then what we've seen lately is sales driven by a very good deal (potentially two games for free).

No because shops have also been selling the XBO and Destiny as a bundle. So they cancel each other out.
