Donno if someone mentioned it, but Jumping Flash is a highly underrated game.

I mentioned it.  Jumping flash 2 is better, though, if you're only going to get one.  I was obligated to get both, since I grew up playing both games on my PS1.

Only played the first one. Wish I knew about the second one back then since I loved the first game so much.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

I couldn't tell you how I managed to find out about the 2nd game.  I couldn't have been much older than 8 at the time.  Yet, I knew about it and had to have it.  I really doubt it was from a magazine, and I have no memories of ever playing a demo.  It was absolutely one of my favorite games growing up.  I'm so lucky to be able to still have almost all of the games I grew up with.

Then, sadly, the ones that actually did go missing were my harder to find, more expensive titles.

Street Fighter EX plus - one of the best Street Fighter games for me.

Ape Escape is one of the best games of the psx.

Jumping Flash! is one the most original platformers ever made. Its actually also a fps.
You are a big robot rabbit in first person view and you can jump extremely high and shoot and the stages are crazy, you shoot rockets and candy. Its crazy. You have to see it.

Some of my favorites, not including rpgs:

Road Rash
Destruction Derby
Ace Combat 2
Loaded

Parasite Eve
Blaze & Blade (multiplayer action rpg, its great fun with 3 friends, its made for multiplayer and for the hard core.)
Doom
Medal of Honor
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

Brave Fencer Musashi
Driver
Battle Arena Toshiden
Nightmare Creatures

Uh... Candy? I wouldn't say that at all. The only thing that resembles candy are the scatter bombs in Jumping Flash! 2. But, JF! is the 1st 3D platformer, and, yeah, it is a FPS.

The soundtrack of the first game is highly underrated too. Remember the first level song from so many years ago. I'm unsure where I found the first Jumping Flash. Must of liked the cover art and decided to pick it up. Luckily, I still have all the SNES games I had, but still disappointed that I lost Jumping Flash. That triple jumping mechanic made me feel like I was flying. XD

There is no forgetting that theme.  As a kid, I'd literally sit on that stage until I died from a time-out listening to it.  I'd also used to sit on the world select screen for well over 10 minutes.  Too bad the composer died.  Really liked World 4-1 & 4-2 in JF!2, too.

I saw the original in Gamestop... It was no doubt Funcoland in those days, and, it was just... Bigger than all the rest of the disc boxes...  And, I just liked the way it looked..  Then, I got the game and the music just locked me in...

Now-a-days, triple jumping isn't enough.  Being able to jump five times can get you some serious height.  Using the missiles from those dog cannons can get you even higher if you know how to jump on them without making them explode.

I have nearly all my genesis games too, and I also lost both Jumping Flash games.  The first one I know I left under the couch in my grandparents basement well over 15 years ago, and the second game, I couldn't tell you.  I remember one day the disc got chipped, so it had like a small U carved out of it.  Amazingly, it still worked without a single play issue as the disc itself, luckily didn't snap, crackle, or pop when it was chipped.  Obviously too, there was no information on that part of the disc.

But, it's all good.  Picked them both up on PSN years ago, and have had them on PS3, PSP and PSV.

As mentioned many times already get TOMBA and TOMBA 2...and Castlevania:symphony of the night

and getem now dammit.
