I didn't fund anything related to ISIS or ISIL whatever they go by now. Also touche about Americans using hit and run tactics against the British in our fight for freedom

Tax money, thus you funded it or at least your parents...

Considering I don't have a job I couldn't fund it, and it's not like the American people are given a choice on how that tax money is spent.

So you've never bought anything in your life? Saying you don't have a choice isn't the same as not doing it at all.

Also you can't consider hit and run cowardly. It takes courage to fight in almost any situation. It's warfare, beyond the use of chemical weapons, there basically are no rules. You're applying a level of morality to something without any. Guerilla warfare has been documented for centuries, it's clever, and the only means for a smaller, less well armed force, to fight a far larger one.

Also, seen as you seem to be caught up in the notion of honor. Is sitting in the cockpit of an airplane and watching men scramble across a mountain in the dark a mile away and hitting a button to fire a missle cowardly? What's the difference between that and setting off explosives in a truck?

Armies of Iraq and Afghanistan? You mean the rag tag group of terrorists right? all they do is hit and run like cowards.

Less cowardly than air strikes from unmanned drones.

America is so ridiculously peaceful when you consider our military budget. Immortal Technique in a song said the United States has a "defense budget of world conquest proportions" and it's true. Almost 37% of the entire world's military expenditures belong to the US. We spent 640 billion in 2013.

Anyway, here's the current reason we're purging the middle east for the rest of the world.

"If you threaten America, you will find no safe haven." - Barrack Obama (Sept. 10, 2014)

I expected to hear an eagle cry and for fireworks to go off outside the window behind him when he said that during his speech Wednesday night.

thats why your country is now in debt. trillions upon trilions... with that cash you could dave built space elevator.

The United State still hast wice as much GDP as second place China.

All but three countries are in debt. National debts are simply political tools for politicians to gain campaign support.

Brunei, Liechtenstein, and Palau are the only sovereign states with no debt. They're not exactly economic juggernauts.

It's a military weapon and it's doing what it was designed to do.  But you can call it cowardly if you like

Didn't realize we had so many conspiracy theorists on this site.

calling something a "conspiracy theory" is an intentional ploy to keep things hidden

not that you are but that's how people are being controlled...

someone gets called "conspiracy theorist" and most people go oh well that settles it he's talking shit, but some say you know what? perhaps there's something going on here let me investigate for myself

personally i believe the latter route is the best since all you lose is a few minutes at best...

however, with the earlier route you lose the opportunity to possibly learn something new and gain perspective

and in this world perspective is probably one of the most important aspects to expand imo

Well I already said "touche" to the other guy about hit and run tactics/ guerrilla warfare. It was one of the reason the US was able to defeat the British along with some backing from Spain. What someone considers cowardice is up to that person. I consider guerrilla warfare a coward tatic but understand that it's the only way they could really fight against our Army.

Obama the president who originally promised to end the wars started under Bush is now looking likely to start wars in Syria and Iraq against ISIS/ ISIL. We get that Islamic State are scum but who says are a war against them will work? He talking about a three year bombing campaign against them in Syria and Iraq but i don't see it working. Such actions will only make the people more extremist and sympathetic to ISIS and create yet more enemies for America (and probably Europe too). He plans to send 475 soldiers and military advisers for now. This is how Vietnam started and we know how long that dragged on for despite achieving nothing but suffering. Your countrie's army couldn't exactly beat them nor the armies of Iraq or Afghanistan in more recent times and yet somehow the American president thinks he can beat a guerilla force which isn't even a country. It's crazy as the Taliban couldn't even be properly beaten and ISIS are even more ruthless and extreme than they were.

To make it worse these recent wars cost tons of money which America doesn't have anymore and the economy is weak. The wars have little benefit to America or the west in general and ISIS is not even a threat to us.

However there are more forgotten conflicts made worse by US interference. Drone strikes in Yeman, Pakistan, Sudan etc. among other things.

I just don't get how all this is necessary and yet the establishment (especially mainstream media) only wants more conflict and bloodshed. All this unwanted interference is why people hate America and why i see it as an empire. An irony given the circumstances America was born from.

I don't like the actions of ISIS but bombing the middle east into the stone age won't improve things. It would be expensive but something like the Marshall Plan is needed if the region is to see peace, either that or no intervention at all. All this war just drains the economy and the problem before is that the Iraq war and Afghanistan place left those countries trashed, thus radicalising people

What are your thoughts on the prospect of a new war in the middle east? and why the American government seems so keen to start them alot?

1) America was actually voted as the MOST popular country.

2) You ok with ISIS running around massacring people?  We have vested interests in many of the countries threatened by ISIS, so it isn't exactly hard to justify helping them.

3) The drones strikes in those countries are part of this war lol.  The modern world makes it easy for people to move around, and if you attack America and move around -> our drones will find you.

I get what you mean, I actually look up a lot of the stuff this guy named Alex Jones talks about and a lot of it is actually accurate.

Forget budgets, look at the history.

In 230 years, America has been in 65 wars since the Revolutionary war. I think America took a short break after the first World War, but otherwise has regularly been in various conflicts, all around the world.

With a country that takes on the role of the world police, you can't really equate America with Peace.
