Obama the president who originally promised to end the wars started under Bush is now looking likely to start wars in Syria and Iraq against ISIS/ ISIL. We get that Islamic State are scum but who says are a war against them will work? He talking about a three year bombing campaign against them in Syria and Iraq but i don't see it working. Such actions will only make the people more extremist and sympathetic to ISIS and create yet more enemies for America (and probably Europe too). He plans to send 475 soldiers and military advisers for now. This is how Vietnam started and we know how long that dragged on for despite achieving nothing but suffering. Your countrie's army couldn't exactly beat them nor the armies of Iraq or Afghanistan in more recent times and yet somehow the American president thinks he can beat a guerilla force which isn't even a country. It's crazy as the Taliban couldn't even be properly beaten and ISIS are even more ruthless and extreme than they were. 

To make it worse these recent wars cost tons of money which America doesn't have anymore and the economy is weak. The wars have little benefit to America or the west in general and ISIS is not even a threat to us.

However there are more forgotten conflicts made worse by US interference. Drone strikes in Yeman, Pakistan, Sudan etc. among other things. 

I just don't get how all this is necessary and yet the establishment (especially mainstream media) only wants more conflict and bloodshed. All this unwanted interference is why people hate America and why i see it as an empire. An irony given the circumstances America was born from.

I don't like the actions of ISIS but bombing the middle east into the stone age won't improve things. It would be expensive but something like the Marshall Plan is needed if the region is to see peace, either that or no intervention at all. All this war just drains the economy and the problem before is that the Iraq war and Afghanistan place left those countries trashed, thus radicalising people

I didn't fund anything related to ISIS or ISIL whatever they go by now. Also touche about Americans using hit and run tactics against the British in our fight for freedom

It would be a disaster for the US if IS defeat the current USA friendly government in Iraq, as it will mean USA lose control of the oil and gas reserves found in the country.
