Everyone always forgets this one. GOTY 2 years in a row would be quite a feat :D lol.

I feel like reviews of games on PS4/XBO have been super jaded this year. Nothing is ever good enough. Destiny is amazing for a Year 1 title, period. Watch Dogs was pretty good as well. Both are GOTY contenders in my book.

I am not opposed to LBP3 or Dragon Age Inquisition being GOTY, there are two big anticipated games for me. We also have Forza Horizon 2 and Driveclub, although the likely hood of a racer being GOTY is extremely small. 

Maybe GOTY will be Minecraft :P

Enemy design in Bayonetta is indeed more original, but original =/= better. GOW's Greek mythology based enemy design is just way more inspired.

It doesn't matter what mode you're on, Square Square Triangle is your go to attack, always. There's rarely no reason not to spam it repeatedly.

GOW story is crap. Kratos is a terrible 1D character. He's too mentally retarded to take advantage of time travel in a useful manner, like saving his family.

It DOES matter which difficulty you're playing on. Try playing any GOW game on Hard Mode with this strategy, you'll get your ass handed back to you. The combo system is very deep, and you have to understand it if you're playing it on Hard or Very Hard mode.

Kartos is not mentally retarded, just a severely pissed of guy due to his situation (killing his family for a useless cause, being enslaved by the gods before he himself became one, always having what he did to hs family in his mind). I agree on the time travel part, perhaps one of the loopholes in the story. Still the narrative is great and certainly the story is presented very well.

I know it won't be, but Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze was mine so far

Smash WiiU can take this year GOTY if it'll release in 2014.

Theres Dark Souls 2 and Mario Kart as early contenders, great games. You guys shouldnt judge from now tbh, theres still DA: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, AC: Unity, Middle Earth, Sunset Overdrive, Smash WiiU and LBP3 among any others to be contenders and im very sure one of these games mentioned may blow away peoples minds. So maybe revisit the topic by december?

How can you forget Bayonetta 2? I really do think that will sweep GOTY's this year. The original was one of the best recieved action games of last gen, and this one looks improved in every way.
