I honestly expected a bigger bump for XB1. I was one of the biggest XB1 critics, but when they made all those changes before launch, I started to watch them again. Then they made a kinectless sku, and last but not least gave away a free game? I jumped at that (Madden bundle), fully taking advantage of the situation.

Where did the 360 fans go? MS needs to come up with an official upgrade program with all retailers that accept trade-ins, and motivate 360 owners to upgrade. The longer MS waits, its going to continue being a slaughter by PS4, because that's where the community (friends, family, etc) is.

Ms didn't lose any of their fans once youre a fan you are a fan unless Xbox one loses developer support which they have not.

The Xbox One is doing fine as I have been saying for a while now.

September October November and december is Xbox time. I see big numbers coming.

I wonder though is this the first week in months the xbox one has outsold the ps4 in america.

I predict the month of november when call of duty comes out xbox one will outsell the ps4 in america.

They did lose a lot of fans. Sony even has data showing that PS4 owners are about 1/3 coming from Xbox 360.

You have to try and look at this with a fresh new perspective, last-gen rules don't apply here. You can't assume XB1 will win the holidays like the 360 used to. Things have changed and the odds are in Sony's favor.

Microsoft does have 2 advantages in November and that's the Halo Collection and COD bundle. We still don't know Sony's holiday strategy, they might just get by on pure momentum.

OT: Madden provided a decent boost this week. Let's see if it can hold up a new baseline from now on. I dont' see the XB1 dropping to the 50k levels any time soon. 100k+ from now on.

Wrong

1/3 didn't have a PS3/ had a Wii or 360.

prayformojo-I could care less about WHICH console is doing well. As long as a console IS doing well, then I'm happy. With the rise of mobile, it's not something to take for granted. Having said that, what I DO care about, is people spreading false information based on bias. Sure, the PS4 is number one but "supreme king" is a bit much when the thing didn't even win the biggest market for the week.
I get the feeling that fanboys WANT to compare the PS4 to PS2, but that's just wrong. They don't compare, at all, in anyway.

because the xone won one(

You probably didn't finished your sentence... I guess.

Yeah well 1/3 weren't PS4 owners and its safe to say the majority were 360 owners rather than Wii owners, just look at the top selling games, its the PS3/360 audience buying games. That's just how I see it. I think the Wii audience is mostly gone, that market has shrunk significantly.

I just noticed this but since the Xbox One won this week with the Madden bundle and the game still sold better on PS4....just think what Advanced Warfare bundle will do. Xbox One will easily win that week. The COD brand is still strong even though our pre-order chart doesn't show it.

Basically since a "weak" bundle boosted Xone enough to win, just imagine what a "strong" bundle will do in the holidays.

That madden... i really dont understand that franchise. Which also explains the Xbox One boost.. obligatory SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS

That would mean ignoring the holiday boost that both the X1 and PS4 will get during the month. There will nothing easy about the X1 attempting to claim the week, with or without that bundle.

I didn't say it was easy, but the XB1 has something going for it, which is the first time we can say that since Titanfall.

Sony has LBP3 for November and a rumored GTA V partnership. Who knows how LBP 3 will sell and who knows how well a re-release of a game everyone already bought will sell.

Of course COD will give PS4 a boost too as will Assassin's Creed and every other multiplatform. I'm not saying Xbox One will win November, its still an uphill battle.

My bad. I do think XB1 will easily win on COD week. It won on Madden week didn't it? COD is a much bigger franchise and will move a lot more consoles.

yea you're probably right. Easy wasn't the right word to use.
