A better calculation would be # of registered steam users.

Recent numbers of that are around 80 million.

Is that number for all computer owners, or just ones used for gaming? If it's the former, that's kind of a silly comparison. It's like...comparing the sales of mobile devices and tablets to dedicated gaming handhelds.
