No, Its literally in response to the Nintendo fans who thought that after Mario Kart 8 hardware bump Wii U had secured second place. Have you missed all those threads in last few weeks? It got to the point where we just had to wait til september. Well now we're in september :)

Yes I did miss those threads actually. It just seems pointless comparing the Xbox one to the Wii U.

It was not just about the generation but also about Wii U selling more this year than Xbox one..

Not really.  Xbox 360 was a great console, but it was basically something to keep the industry alive while Sony was going through a Gen 3 crisis.  The truth is that a cheaper or equally priced PS4 was always going to win.  Think of Xbox 360 as a reboud hookup while you are fighting with your girl.  Once you patch things up with the one you love, the side chick is dismissed.  She thinks she owns you, but outside of the bedroom there is nothing appealing about her.  Nintendo is like your childhood love.  There will always be a place in your heart for her.

Well you are right but Wii U is doing not great in US with like 60K units sold and isn't that a better region than Europe sales wise?  so making it possible that xbox one indeed with US numbers alone beat Wii U in August..

Lol, no september is important because it allows us to gauge how big 3rd parties will effect Xbox one hardware. Alot of people arguments for wii U coming second place what that 3rd parties will only help PS4 based on all of the mid tier releases we saw in the last handful of months (bar watchdog). So this month will be telling of whats to come... If Madden and Destiny (cross gen) manage to push Xbox far beyond Wii U imagine what Next gen exclusive like Batman, evolve and Witcher 3 will do next year.

Smash will provide wii U will a great december but just like Mario Kart 8 has shown, its hard to concieve 1 or 2 games will carry a system over a 6month period. You need consistent big releases and even the Nintendo supporters arent niave enough the idea that Ninty has a ton of systems sellers in the pipeline. They have about four; Beyonetta, Smash, X, Zelda  (Of course its subjective in regards to what will be system sellers)

WiiU could be selling better in EU then NA. In USA I feel a lot of people are buying a PS4/XB1 combo, where in EU XB1 is largely ignored so most are going PS4/WiiU

I'm sure you said the same thing about PS3 when it was struggling to compete against Xbox. And that was with the momentum of PS2.

Anyhow, I take weekly numbers with a grain of salt. They're constantly adjusted.
