Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Predict the Metas for Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad, and Smash 3DS/Wii U

These are Nintendo's big releases left for 2014. Predict their Metascores.

Here's Mine

Hyrule Warriors:  82 (considering it's more Dynasty Warriors than Zelda and the best reviewed DW game has like a 78, I think this would be a very good score for it to aim for. I could see it only ending up mid 70's or so though if the Zelda influence isn't very present.)

Bayonetta 2: 94 (honestly this looks more epic and improved over the original in every single way, and the original was already well loved by critics with a 90 Meta. I pretty much expect the best reviews of the year)

Captain Toad: 90 (it's from the Galaxy/3D World team, arguably the best dev team in the business today. Plus I believe it's retailing for $40 instead of the normal $60, so cost shouldn't be a complaint.)

SSBfor3DS: 90 (Will surely be a bit lower than its Wii U counterpart given that a portable system is not inherently made for a SSB type of a game. I'm sure Sakurai has worked hard though to make it fit on 3DS as well as possible.)

SSBforWii U: 93 (Same reception as Brawl sounds about right to me. Could only see it doing better if they somehow nailed the online aspect, but this is Nintendo here so not holding my breath on that.)

I'm surprised people aren't more optimistic about Captain Toad. It's not retailing for the normal $60 price tag, and every game Tokyo EAD has developed has over a 90 except their first game 10 years ago (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat). Even Flipnote Studios from them has a 93 (from a small sample size granted). There's a chance it could end up with the highest of all these games given the pedigree of its team.

Hyrule warriors: 80 ( it looks really fun, but i think its missing some stuff)

Bayonetta 2: 92 ( the visual and action is there, not sure about story)

Captain Toad: 85 ( i didnt really like it in 3d world, and i dont know if they will expand it more on what we've seen so far)

SSB 3ds: 88 ( i think the visual will make it down and maybe not enough content)

SSB wii u: 92

Pokemon R/S: 89 ( the new videos makes it look like much better than x and y)

Its going to be an amazing end of year for both 3ds and Wii u owners.

Amazon CA is listing it for $65 (60 on Amazon.com) and my local Futureshop also has it listed at $65 so I am curious on your source. Also I am pretty skeptical if the scope of the game will match the price it's retailing for. If it turns out to be much more than what I think it is then that's cool.
